Clash Of Kings - MUST have Troop Types and Their Prayer HALL enhancements - Duration: 8:29. GAMING WITH BAT 11,746 views. Targ elite archers are much better armored without sacrificing power draw but the kings wood bandit archers have higher skill with archery and are also much easier to acquire. Pretty sure northern archers are solid too but last I checked their armor hinders their power draw. Pentoshi Cataphracts are the best Cavalry in-game, while the Elite Ironborn Retainers are the best Infantry. I however use the Veteran Ironborn Retainers so they keep their shields. I'm not sure of the Archers, since both the Vale and the Tyroshian have very good archers. I'd go for Tyroshian mounted archers and some mounted Tyroshian archers.

As you progress through the clash of kings game and encounter more powerful kingdoms, you might notice that your forces start to have a harder time toppling formidable opponents. When this happens, it usually means that the opposing kingdom either has a larger force or they have more upgraded troops. Luckily, you can do the same with your troops!

Let’s take a look at how to do it.
How to Increase Your Army in Clash of Kings
Having a sizable army is essential since it increases your chance to overwhelm a castle you plan to siege. Your Marching Troop’s power is determined by the number of units you can send out.
If the opponent’s defenses are higher than your Marching Troops’ overall power, you are more likely to lose. That said, you can increase your Marching Troop capacity when you buy and upgrade your Drill Grounds.
When you first build your Drill Grounds, you can have a total of 3,000 units that can march to an enemy castle or Resource plot. The base Attack Power of a Marching Troop is 4, and depending on what units you’ve sent out, their power will change.
However, you can increase the power of the Drilling Grounds by upgrading the building. In turn, this will increase the number of units you can send out. It is up to you when to upgrade the Drilling Grounds but usually, it is best to do so when you plan on invading a kingdom.
Clash of Kings: How to Upgrade Your Troops
Aside from upgrading your Drill Grounds, you should also allot resources to upgrade Troop buildings such as the Barracks, Range, Stables, and Siege Factory. Doing so will give you access to more powerful versions of the units you usually train.
That said, the higher-level units cost a bit more resources and typically take longer to train, so it is best that you plan out your attack or siege well before you commit to spend your supplies. Here is a list of the different troops you can train once you level up their respective structures:
